How Repair Bae came about
Repair Bae started from a simple frustration: too many people were being told their phones were beyond repair, or being charged for replacements they didn't need. The founder, Marcus, had spent years working in electronics repair before deciding to set up independently — with a different approach.
The name came from a habit of calling every device that came through the workshop "bae" — a tongue-in-cheek way of reminding the team that people's phones matter to them. They contain photos, messages, memories. Treating them carelessly isn't just a technical failure; it's a people failure.
We opened in Market Harborough because it was home, and because we believed a local repair workshop that people could genuinely trust was something the town needed. That belief hasn't changed.
