Cracked glass, dead pixels, ghost touches — screen damage takes several forms. We assess each device individually and explain what we find before doing anything.

Understanding screen damage

A smartphone screen is actually made up of several layers working together: the protective outer glass, the digitiser (which registers your touch input), and the display panel itself (LCD or OLED). When you damage your screen, any one or combination of these layers may be affected — and the exact repair needed depends on which ones.

The most visible type of damage is cracked or shattered glass. This is often purely cosmetic — the phone still works fine, but the glass is sharp and will usually worsen over time. Other damage is more functional: the screen stops responding to touch, develops dead areas, shows black spots or ink-like bleed marks, or the image becomes distorted or dim.

We inspect every device before we quote. That way you know exactly what you're agreeing to before any work begins.

Not all screen damage requires a full panel replacement. Sometimes it's the glass only, or the digitiser, which may affect the cost and turnaround. We'll explain which applies to your device after inspection.

Our screen repair process

We take a consistent, step-by-step approach to every screen repair to ensure the result is reliable and the device is properly reassembled.

  • 1

    Initial inspection

We examine the screen closely and test all touch and display functions. We also check the frame and internal connectors to understand the full picture before proceeding.

  • 2

    Quote and explanation

We tell you exactly what's needed, which parts are involved, what the cost will be, and how long it's likely to take. Nothing proceeds without your agreement.

  • 3

    Safe disassembly

We open the device carefully, using the appropriate tools for the model. We protect internal components throughout the process.

  • 4

    Screen replacement

We fit the replacement screen — sourced to match your device's specifications — and reconnect all relevant cables and components.

  • 5

    Reassembly and testing

The device is reassembled and we run a series of functional tests — touch response, brightness, colours, and any associated features — before handing it back.

What to expect

The time required for a screen repair varies depending on the device model and whether the part is immediately available. Many common repairs can be completed the same day; some models may require us to order a part first, in which case we'll give you an accurate estimate.

After the repair, you'll receive a workmanship warranty covering the fitting. If something goes wrong with the work we've done, bring the device back and we'll look at it. The warranty doesn't cover new physical damage or unrelated faults, but it does cover our work.

Screen repair cannot undo damage to other internal components that may have occurred at the same time as the screen damage. If we notice anything else during the repair, we'll let you know.

Transparency about parts

We use well-matched components for screen repairs. We don't claim all parts are original manufacturer units (OEM), as the supply chain for mobile components is complex — but we're selective about sourcing and prioritise parts that meet a consistent quality standard.

If you have strong preferences about parts type, or if your device is under manufacturer warranty, let us know and we can discuss the implications with you before proceeding.

Limitations to be aware of

Screen repair addresses the display and touch components of the device. It doesn't resolve faults in other areas such as speakers, cameras, or charging ports, which would require separate assessment. If we discover any such issues during the repair, we'll flag them without obligation.

In some cases — particularly devices with severe frame damage or previous unofficial repairs — it may not be possible to achieve a clean result. We'll tell you honestly if that's the case after inspection.
